This is basically the same trick as Aces and Dice but without the dice.
Effect: Have the spectator shuffle the deck. Take the deck back and turn it face up. Spread the cards to show the mixed condition. Turn the deck face down and do an overhand shuffle to further mix the cards as you explain the card cheats develop sensitive fingers that let them tell when there is a card they need for their hand.
Demonstrate this by dealing cards down to the table. As you deal cards down you occasionally deal one card to the side.
After you have dealt four cards to the side, stop and turn over the four cards to reveal four aces.
Method: As you spread the cards cull the aces to the top of the deck. (I use my "two step cull" which I will describe at some point). Double undercut one card to the bottom. Use the Erdnase system of stock shuffles to place the four aces at the 11th, 13th, 18th and 20th positions in the deck.
To get 10 cards at the top of the first ace modify step 6 and shuffle off 11 instead of 5 cards.
Alternatively, if you use the system described in Aces and Dice, the cards will be stacked at positions 5th, 7th, 13th and 15th. You can then overhand shuffle six cards on top, injog, shuffle off and then cut at the injog.
Now deal the cards counting as you deal. At the 11th card set it aside. Deal one more and then deal the next card aside. Deal five more and the next aside. The last ace is now second from the top. Deal one and then deal as many seconds as you want before dealing the ace aside.
Stop and display the four aces.
