Here is how I do the Dingle version, but this is from my memory and might not be exactly what he wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The setup is the same, cut a red five to the top of the deck as you remove the A-5 of spades. Show the top card the Ace of Spades. As you show it, get a break under the next card, the Two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Flip the Ace back face down, and take the top two cards, as one, and slide them under the Three. The audience should think you just placed the Ace under the two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Turn over a double to show the Ace returned to the top. Flip the double back face down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Take the top card, the audience thinks it is the Ace, and place it under the next card. In reality it is the three and you are placing it under the Ace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Turn the top card over showing the Ace has returned. Table the Ace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Situation check. Take the top card and put it under the second card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Turn over the top card to show the two has come back to the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Now place the top card second from the bottom, letting the audience see it really is the Two. Turn the wrist over to show the bottom card, the five, and slide the top<br>card over to show the three. Square up holding the packet face down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Buckle the bottom card and flip over the rest as if you were flipping the top card. The Two will show and it will have a face down card below it so you can cleanly take the two off and show it as a single card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Repeat that once more: Buckle, insert two, and flip over the top four cards as one. I do this by placing my first and second fingers on the back of it and pulling it back then turning it face up and dropping it to the table. As this is done, your left hand turns palm down, showing the five, and does a &#8220;glide&#8221;, pulling the four card back. The face up red five is hidden behind the five of spades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Because of the &#8220;glide&#8221;, your right hands thumb and first two fingers can pinch the double (face up five of Spades with the face down red five hidden under it.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Pivot the double so that both the four and five of spades are visible. Hold them in this &#8220;vee&#8221; position in your left hand as your right hand picks up the three and places it between the four and the double, being careful not to let the cards shift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Adjust the fan so that it shows the 4, 3, and 5, then close up the cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Make a magic gesture and then push the five of spades over to the right, exposing a face down card. Grasp the packet with your right hand and slide over to the left the bottom four. The fan now appears to show that the Three magically turned face down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The right hand holds the cards in a biddle grip as the right fingers hold the face down red five with the face up three hidden below it. The left fingers pull the face up four to the left and flip it face down. The left fingers slide the two bottom cards over revealing the face up three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The right fingers hold the double aligned as the left hand drops the face up three on top of the cards on the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Situation check: cards are face down in your left hand. The right hand picks up the five of spades, rotating to show it. At the same time the left hand (holding the double) rotates to show the four of spades. The face up four is on top of the face down five of spades. Pick up both, as a double, with your right hand, placing them on top of the face down deck, in effect ditching the five of spades. Then as an afterthought, move the face up four back on top the the Ace, Two, and Three that are on the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Now you are ready to show that the Five of spades has magically changed into the red five.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since I posted on Larry Jennings version I thought I would add this.
