This is something I am playing with. Start with four aces on top of the deck. Perform two in faros, which stack the aces for a four handed game. Now you can show the top three cards and the bottom three cards to the spectator to show that the deck is “well shuffled”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Now to stack for a five handed game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Overhand shuffle, running three cards and then run the first Ace, counting “1” in your mind. On the next card, milk the top and bottom cards, counting “2,3” in your mind. Then run two more cards, counting “4 and 5” in your mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now repeat the process, run 1, milk counting 2,3, and run 4,5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Repeat that one more time. Then run five cards singly, injog the next and shuffle off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Take a break below the injog, cut half the cards about the break to the table. Cut the cards at the break to on top of the tabled cards, then drop the remainder on top of all and ready to deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I like that the first faro shuffles set you up to explain that you have a well shuffled deck, and that you can show the top and bottom cards of the deck. Note that if your faros are not both in faros you are still ok. If you do two out faros then the top card is an ace. In this case skip showing the top cards. Likewise, if you do an in faro and then accidentally to an out faro, you are still ok, you just show the top two cards instead of three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also you can vary when you do the “milk”. You can milk on the count 2,3, or on 3,4, or on 4,5. You ca always do it on 3,4 for instance, or you can do it on each to break up the rhythm.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
