Buscaba una pila de barajado único que usara el barajado inferior, pero sin necesidad de tener una carta rizada. En este punto me encuentro. Es un proyecto en desarrollo.

Start with three aces on the bottom and one ace on top.

Split the deck in half by riffling up the side with the right thumb, taking a left thumb break, then riffling four more cards and taking a right thumb break. as you split the deck for the shuffle.

Now start the shuffle by dropping one card with the left thumb and the dropping the four cards below the right thumb break.

Drop one more from the left and riffle off four from the right.

Repeat the last step: Drop one more from the left and riffle off four from the right.

Now riffle off a block of ten or more cards from the left hand, the continue to shuffle both sides until you have four cards left in the left hand, and one or more in the right. Riffle all the right hand cards, then riffle off the four left hand cards.

Now square up the deck as if you were going to perform a push through false shuffle. The cards will not square up. If you look carefully you will see a large gap where the block of ten cards is located. Your left thumb squares up the cards above that block as you right thumb squares up the right side. You will be left with a brief at the rear of the deck on the left side.

Press down on that brief with your left thumb and take a break above it. Then double cut to bring the bottom cards to the top and your stack is complete.

Below is a short video of me practicing the shuffle.

Afterthoughts

Like most riffle stacks the hardest part is getting the riffling of an exact number of cards to be fluid and smooth. That is why in this case the first four cards are held with a right thumb break and simply dropped on the first card. Also, if you press down and move the left hand pack, its bottom card can be left on the table so you don’t have to riffle off the first single card.

Setting the brief takes practice, in the video above I briefly (excuse the pun) lost the brief. But it helps in that you know roughly where the brief is going to be. It will be fifteen cards from the bottom.

Still playing with the bottom riffle concept.
