The cards are lost in the deck with the deck shuffled, and the two Jacks placed on top of the deck, face up. The deck is cut several times and then ribbon spread face down, and the two jacks now have one face down card between them. The deck is cut so the Jacks and the trapped card are on top and the trapped card is shown to be one of the selections.

Leaving the jacks face up on top, with the face down card still between them, the deck is cut again, several times and ribbon spread on the table. The Jacks are still face up in the middle with one face down card between them. The three cards are removed and the trapped card is shown to the be second selection now.

So there are three components to this. First is the selection and control of two cards. I use a spectator peek, but any method can be used. The end result is that the cards should be controlled, one to the top and one to the bottom. I will describe the peek control at the end of this description.

Second is the actual sandwich. This, I believe, is an Ed Marlo technique. So with a selection on top and one on the bottom, undercut half of the deck but milk the bottom card, leaving it on the bottom. Overhand shuffle the undercut cards, injogging the first and shuffling off. Square up the deck in the left hand, taking a left little finger break under the injogged card (over the selection.) Pick up the face up Jacks and place them on top of the deck, but get a right hand thumb break under the top Jack

With the deck held in the left hand, the right hand comes over and cuts of the top half, cutting at the little finger break. Complete the cut, but keep the right thumb break between the halves. Now your left hand undercuts half the deck again, at the break, but as it pulls the bottom cards to the left, the left thumb drags the top card of the top half onto the lower half. The left hand cards are now placed on top of the right hand cards. Then do one last cut, moving cards from the bottom to the top. All of this simply looks like you cut the deck three times.

Ribbon spread the cards and you will see one face down card between the two face up Jacks. The second selection is the card above the top face up Jack.

Cut the deck so the Jacks are on top. Remove them and the trapped card and turn them over showing the first selection.

The second selection is now on the bottom. Overhand shuffle it to the top, and then undercut half of the deck and overhand shuffle cards on top of the selection, injogging the first card run off.

The left hand takes a little finger break below the injogged card as the cards are squared up. Pick up the three cards on the table, with the Jacks face up and the selection still face down. Place these cards on top of the deck, but get a right thumb break under the top two cards.

You are now going to repeat the first cutting sequence. Undercut at the left little finger break, placing these cards on top. Undercut at the right thumb break, placing these cards on top, but holding the top card with your left thumb. Then for the last cut, a small change is made. As the left hand comes over to undercut half the cards, the left fingertips push the bottom card to the right, and the left thumb pulls the left side corner of the lower cards, pulling the block out to the left, but leaving the bottom card behind. The left hand takes the block and cuts them to the top.

Bottom card pushed out, the right hand omitted. Hold the deck in the left finger tips with the faces towards the spectator for the standard spectator peek. You explain that you need them to do this so you can have two cards selected.

When the spectator stops you, let them note their card the let that single card riffle off and take a left little finger break above it.
