This one distributes the aces with two faro shuffles, hence the “almost” in the title.

Start with the aces on top of the deck, unknown to the spectators. I use my two step cull, or if the aces have already been found, I lose them in the deck and use a multiple shift to bring the secretly back to the top of the deck.

Now do two out Faros, keeping the top Ace on the top of the deck. Then add a known quantity of cards on top, either using an overhand shuffle, or a Zarrow shuffle, keeping the stock of aces intact. For example, you can undercut half the deck and run six cards, injog and shuffle off. Undercut at the injog and throw on top. The first Ace is not the seventh card.

Now to deal to the Aces. The first Ace is the seventh card down, so simply deal six cards and then deal and show the Ace.

Now deal three cards, and then deal and turn over the next Ace.

The next Ace is four cards down, followed by the last Ace, also four cards down from the third Ace. Since you don’t want to have it seem like the Aces are evenly distributed, deal three cards down, then deal three seconds, then deal the third Ace.

The last Ace is now on top of the deck, so deal as many seconds as you want, then deal the last Ace.

Note the principle here. Basically you start with a standard stack of the four aces. In the case above, the two faro shuffles stack the aces for a four handed game. I know several methods of stacking the deck for a five handed game using riffle shuffles. Let’s assume that as a starting position. The aces are fifth, tenth, fifteenth, and twenty from the top.

Deal four down, and then deal the first Ace face up to the side.

Deal four more, followed by two seconds, and the deal the next Ace face up to the side.

Deal two more, followed by four seconds, and deal the third Ace face up to the side.

Now deal seconds as long as you want, and then deal the fourth Ace face up to the side.

This is similar to “Only a second” so I suggest you look at that one as well.
