A way of using this is to use the process to set a key card as follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Start by knowing the top card of the deck, which will serve as your key card. Shuffle the deck leaving it in position.  Now explain that you are going to turn away and while your back is turned they are to cut the deck twice like this: and here you demonstrate the cut deeper force cut action.  After the second cut you point to the card face up on the deck and tell them that they are to remember that card, then turn the face up cards face down, which buries their card into the deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You demonstrate this, but when you turn the cards face down you keep a break between the halves.  Double cut to the break and your key card is back on top. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hand them the deck and turn your back.  After they do what your asked the key card will be below their selection.  I take the deck back from them and perform a Faro shuffle which puts one card between the key and their selection.
