Travel
I have traveled all over the world, but now I like to travel to nearby locations.
Computers
I have worked with computers since the days of punch cards. See some of the hardware and software I have worked with.
Old British sports cars
In particular my 57 MGA and 60 Healey. Also, preferably old single malt scotch whisky.
Photography
Starting with my dad’s old Argus and moving to my first 35mm (Olympus OM1) and then to digital.
Cats
My first two were named “Magic” and “Crystal”. Currently I have one cat named “Abracadabra”, or “Abby” for short. I had two, but Abby’s brother, “Hokus Pokus” or “Hokus” for short, passed away.
Magic
I have been performing magic for about 40 years, specializing in a field of magic known as “close-up magic.” I always have a deck of cards with me.
Close-up magic is, as it’s name implies, performed right under the spectator’s nose. Coins, cards, matches, silk scarfs, rope and other small props are used. Unlike stage magic, close-up magic has an intimate aspect to it, with the spectators often playing an active role in the illusions.
I performed for both private individuals and corporations, in tradeshow, restaurant and private venues. Some of my corporate clients have been Intel Corporation, the Spirit of Portland cruise ship, Hubar’s Restaurant, Al Amirs Restaurant, Sunset Mortgage Company, the Beaverton Police Department, and others.
